Age Group Competition
British Swimming have decided to withdraw the GB Points and Age Group correction factors used as the basis for awards in our Age Group championships (BAGCATS).
In 2010 we will retain the same categories, but will use FINA points as the basis form calculation.
Swim Suit Rules
From 1st January 2010 all competitions in England, Scotland and Wales will be applying the FINA rules in relation to Swimsuits for swimming (excluding Masters and Open Water) competitions.

There is extremely aggressive price cutting on some of the existing suits that don't conform to these rules. We advise you to take care ensure that suits conform to the new guidelines.
For clarification: This competition does not requires swimsuits to be on the FINA approved list.
Championship Conditions
Please note the following changes to the Championship Conditions for 2010.
4. ENTRIES
Provision for entry of one time outside the qualifying times to complete a BAGCAT series has been removed at the request of coaches.
6. MEET PROCEDURE
6a. Addition of penalty of £10 for swimmers who do not withdraw from a heat and do not swim.
6d. Allowance of combined Male/Female events for 800m/1500m.
9. COSTUMES
Clarification that ASA Law on permitted costumes will apply to this competition.
