County Swimming Championships 2017

Judge Level 1 Workshop 1

Arrangements have been made to conduct the above Workshops as follows:

Thursday 22 September 18:30 to 20:30 at Hart Leisure Centre, Fleet. GU51 5HS in the first floor Function Suite

Thursday 06 October 18:30 to 20:30 at Hart Leisure Centre, Fleet. GU51 5HS in the first floor Function Suite

All candidates should be current registered ASA members, or must have applied through their club and paid the membership fee, awaiting an ASA number.

Workbooks, training materials and bottled water provided.

The course registration fee is £8.00 per candidate and Application Forms can be obtained from either John Tripp ( or George Adamson ( and must be returned to John Tripp or George Adamson within seven working days prior to the course.

Energy Systems and how they relate to training sets

This Seminar will be hed on Saturday 13th June 2015 from 09.30 - 12.30 pm at Mountbatten Leisure Centre Portsmouth

The Guest Speaker will be Ian Turner GB Coach, Head Coach  GB Olympic Team, World Championships and Commonwealth Games covering a period of 10 years

The cost will be £15.00 and Bookings can be made through the BSCA Website




Project 500 - Female Coaching Courses

Sharing the Vision - Sunday 1st March 2015

Coaching Hampshire & IOW and Active Surrey are teaming up to host an exciting networking opportunity exclusively for female coaches.

'Sharing the Vision' is an event that aims to support and empower female coaches as a collective and inspire them to be the best coaches they can be.

You will get the chance to connect with link minded coaches from different sports, learn from expert coach educators and hear from prominent female coaches about their own coaching journeys.

This event is suitable for all coaches, no matter what level or experience. 

What will the event offer?

  • An opening presentation on the impact of female coaches on women in sport.
  • A chance to connect with fellow female coaches over a cuppa.
  • An innovative CPD workshop on enhancing creativity in your coaching practice delivered by renowned coach educator, Richard Cheetham.
  • An interactive Q&A panel with prominent female coaches, including Project 500 ambassador Tamsin Greenway.

This event is taking place on Sunday 1st March at The Holiday Inn in Farnborough, Hampshire.  The three hour event will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

All delegates will receive a goody bag which will include your very own Project 500 T-shirt.

The event is just £5 for Project 500 coaches and £10 for others.

Spaces will be offered on a first come first served basis.

Napier Trophy

The winner of the Napier Trophy was Diane Ford (Masters Swimming) - in recognition for having set a new 200m Breaststroke Long Course World Record.

Diane was presented with the Trophy by the HCASA President John Selley at the County Dinner Dance held at Basingstoke on 17th May.
